RVC Named an Aspen Institute Top Community College

The Aspen Institute named Rock Valley College as one of the 200 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation’s premier recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges. The Aspen Prize, awarded every two years, honors colleges that demonstrate outstanding student success. The 200 colleges were selected based on their student outcomes data, including retention, completion, transfer, and bachelor’s attainment rates.

New Book Honors RVC’s Legacy and Impact

What began as a community dream in 1964 now fills the pages of a new book brought to life by Rock Valley College history professor Dr. Daniel Blumlo. Colleagues, alumni, students, and community members gathered in the Stenstrom Student Center Atrium on Friday, October 10, to recognize Blumlo’s work in preserving the college's story from its humble beginnings to the present day.
