Graduates Honor Their Roots at Nuestras Raíces
Rock Valley College celebrated the achievements, heritage and resilience of its graduating students during this year’s Nuestras Raíces ceremony, an event recognizing Hispanic and Latino graduates as they prepare to cross the commencement stage. Family members, friends, faculty and staff filled the stands in the Physical Education Center on the college’s Main Campus on Wednesday, May 13 to honor the students’ academic accomplishments while celebrating the cultural identities and traditions that helped shape their journeys.
Gustafson Prize Honors Mathematical Excellence
David Bertolasi has excelled in all of his math courses at Rock Valley College while balancing involvement with RVC Men’s Golf Team, RVC Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and volunteering for his church’s A/V crew.
Empowering the Future Through Sankofa
On Friday, May 8, 2026, Rock Valley College hosted its Sankofa: A Rite of Passage Ceremony in the Stenstrom Student Center Atrium, bringing together graduates, families, and community members for an evening rooted in reflection, culture, and celebration.

Students, families, and faculty gathered on May 6 for Rock Valley College’s Massage & Bodywork Therapy Program Graduation Celebration. For the seven graduates, the evening marked the end of an intense year of learning and the beginning of a new chapter in the wellness field.
