RVC Professor Awarded Grant to Preserve Rockford Education Desegregation Stories

Dr. Mathew Oakes has been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Grant for a two-year oral history, archival, and instructional project on the legal and community history of desegregation and education in Rockford. The $60,000 grant will fund his project, “Chronicles of Change: Archiving Stories of Desegregation in Rockford Public Schools, 1989-2002.”

RVC Art Display Featuring Lisa And Javier Jimenez

Every year the art department at RVC reaches out to local and regional artists to display in our campus showcases. Past displays include a collection of Matta Ortiz pottery from Mexico, a private collector of Chinese ceramics, and a collection of Intaglio prints from a Chicago firm.

15 Consecutive Years Of Excellence In Financial Reporting For RVC

Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Rock Valley College for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021.
