The Institutional Research & Effectiveness supports planning and decision-making efforts of the Rock Valley College community by providing data and information for managing and maintaining the quality and effectiveness of programs, services, and initiatives. We also provide data to inform external accreditation, as well as state and federally mandated data, serving as a primary source for information on institutional effectiveness at RVC.

Institutional Review Board

Rock Valley College has an legal and ethical responsibility to protect the rights and welfare of human subjects used in research efforts conducted at the College or by College faculty, staff, or students. The College's Institutional Review Board (IRB) has been established to develop and ensure implementation of appropriate procedures for review of research, especially that involving the use of human subjects.

Operational Definition:

  • Raise success of students at each stage of the P-20 pipeline.
  • Eliminate achievement gaps.

  • Lower percent of family income required to pay net cost of attendance for low- and middle-income families.
  • Lower average amount of debt per undergraduate student.
