RVC Charged Up by New Electric Vehicle Repair Courses

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, electric vehicle sales could reach 40% of total passenger car sales by 2023. The increase in electric vehicles on the road means an increased demand for skilled technicians to service those vehicles. Thanks to a grant from the Illinois Green Economy Network (IGEN), Rock Valley College has developed a training program to answer the call.

National Adult Education and Literacy Week, September 18-23, 2023, underscores the continued demand for programs and services for adult students who need to improve basic skills in reading, writing, and math and obtain a State of Illinois High School Diploma. More than 36 million adults nationwide, including 1.2 million here in Illinois, lack basic literacy skills that limit their ability to advance in education and at work.
