Rock Valley Board of Trustees Elects New Officers

The Rock Valley College (RVC) Board of Trustees has announced the election of new officers to lead the board for the upcoming year. At a reorganization meeting on April 23, 2023, the Board voted to appoint Bob Trojan as Chair, Gloria Cudia as Vice Chair, and Richard Kennedy as Secretary.


RVC and Community College Partners receive Federal Grant to expand Manufacturing Training

Rock Valley Community College, in partnership with McHenry County College and Highland Community College, is set to bolster access to workforce training and skill development in high-demand manufacturing fields following the receipt of a $5.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.


Award-Winning Author, Journalist, and Immigration Expert at RVC

Jonathan Blitzer, a staff writer at The New Yorker, has earned several awards for reporting on the immigration crisis at the Mexico/U.S. border. On Monday, April 29, 2024, Blitzer will be on Rock Valley College’s Main Campus to discuss his book, Everyone Who is Gone is Here: The United States, Central America, and the Making of a Crisis.


Going from Student to Faculty to Transform Manufacturing Education

Stan chose to attend RVC because it was close to home and offered classes in manufacturing. He worked full-time at a local manufacturing company and wanted to learn more about machining and industry.


Rock Valley College Joins #CCMonth Campaign to Highlight Community Colleges

Rock Valley College announced that it will join #CCMonth, a monthlong grassroots education and stigma-busting campaign coordinated by the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT).
