RVC Celebrates Employees At Annual Fall Conference
RVC’s Annual Fall Conference returned to an in-person event for the first time since 2019. This year’s event featured updates from President Dr. Spearman and his cabinet, over 50 breakout sessions for faculty and staff, introduction of new employees, and recognition awards.
Former HCCTP Students Training Comes Full Circle
Steve Gadamowitz has come full circle with his training at RVC. As a Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP) Class of 2019 graduate, he has returned to RVC’s Main Campus as a Laborer’s Local 32 apprentice.
RVCs Dependence On Property Taxes Reduced
Recently, the Rockford Mayor challenged the Winnebago County taxing bodies to keep our property tax levy flat or reduce it. Rock Valley College (RVC) has maintained a flat levy over the last five years and found additional ways to reduce taxes in the future; therefore, we do not accept the challenge.

RVC Starlight Theatres First Director Of Color
When he first learned he would be directing Rock Valley College Starlight Theatre's production of Dreamgirls, Mychall Cornejo felt a mix of shock, excitement, and fear. You see, Mychall is the first person of color to direct at Starlight Theatre. He is hopeful he will not be the last.
