Thompson Named Communicator of the Year

Rock Valley College is pleased to announce that Jennifer Thompson, Executive Director of College Communications, has been named the 2024 Communicator of the Year for the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations District 3.


Harmonies of Time: Mark Rose's 40-Year Journey with the Old Towne Band

For an incredible 40 years, Mark Rose has led the Old Towne Band. Renowned for its performances of popular music from the late 1800s and early 1900s, such as marches, ragtime, Dixieland, circus music, old overtures, and early swing, the band has flourished under his direction.


Going from Student to Faculty to Transform Manufacturing Education

Stan chose to attend RVC because it was close to home and offered classes in manufacturing. He worked full-time at a local manufacturing company and wanted to learn more about machining and industry.

The Stenstrom Family Legacy of Generosity at RVC

In the early 2000s, the Stenstrom family left an indelible mark on Rock Valley College (RVC) through their extraordinary generosity. A remarkable donation led to the naming of the Stenstrom Center for Career Education on Samuelson Road. Fast forward to this year, with RVC no longer owning that campus, the College is relocating the family's name to the Stenstrom Student Center, a move that reflects both adaptability and gratitude for the family's enduring commitment.
