Wellness Made Simple: RVC Installs On-Campus Health Kiosk

Wellness for RVC students just got more convenient. The College recently installed a new SimpliChek Wellness Kiosk, giving students private, on-demand access to essential health and wellness products.

The SimpliChek Wellness Kiosk at RVC gives students private, on-demand access to essential health and wellness products.

Located on RVC's Main Campus in the Stenstrom Student Center (SSC), the SimpliChek Wellness Kiosk is designed to make personal health care more accessible. The kiosk offers a variety of over-the-counter medications, sexual health products, and other wellness essentials, all in a convenient, secure, and judgment-free environment.

“The SimpliChek Wellness Kiosk ensures students can access what they need, when they need it, whether that’s cold medicine or personal care items between classes,” said Dr. Patrick Peyer, Vice President of Student Affairs.

What’s Available at the Kiosk

  • Emergency contraception
  • First aid items
  • Pain relief products
  • Allergy medications
  • Personal hygiene and wellness items

Students can access the kiosk during SSC operating hours using their credit/debit card for quick, discreet purchases. The kiosk is conveniently located outside the Atrium on the first floor of the SSC.

The kiosk is offered as a result of IL Public Act 103-0465, which amended the Public Higher Education Act (HB 4247). This requires all colleges to make at least one wellness kiosk available on campus. By law, the kiosk must include emergency contraception at a discounted price.
