Rock Valley College will host its second annual CEO Challenge on Thursday, April 30.

Following a successful inaugural year that brought together 20 companies and raised $78,000 for student scholarships, this year’s event will once again welcome regional CEOs and their teams for a series of RVC-themed, field-day-style competitions designed to build connections while supporting student success.

“The CEO Challenge has quickly become a powerful way to bring our business community together in support of our students,” said RVC President Dr. Howard Spearman. “It’s inspiring to see leaders step out of their day-to-day roles, engage in a little friendly competition, and make a meaningful investment in the future of our students and our region.”

Participants will compete in a variety of activities, including a homerun derby, RVC Amazing Race scavenger hunt, and a health sciences activity, all for the chance to earn bragging rights and the title of RVC CEO Champion.

Participation in the CEO Challenge directly supports scholarships, providing immediate financial relief for students and helping remove barriers to education. These scholarships play a critical role in promoting equity and preparing a skilled workforce that will strengthen the local economy.
