2024-2025 FAFSA Delay
To enhance the accuracy of financial aid awards for the 2024-25 FAFSA applications,
the U.S. Department of Education (ED) is making adjustments. As a result, FAFSA information
delivery to institutions is expected to be delayed until at least mid-March.
This delay will not impact your ability to file the 2024-25 FAFSA and we encourage
you to file prior to April 1, 2024. This is the deadline to be eligible for the State
of Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) grant.
Please note that this adjustment will impact when RVC can start processing your FAFSA.
While we aim to process it promptly, we anticipate that your aid package may not be
available until May. Keep an eye on your email starting in mid-March, as the Financial
Aid Office may reach out for additional information or documentation.
We understand how important this information is to your planning and truly appreciate
your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes together. Remember, your
financial aid journey is still on track, and we appreciate your proactive approach
in filing the FAFSA before the suggested deadline.
