SMART Camp

Sparking interest in the world of automation and fabrication, these one-week, non-credit summer camps allow current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students to explore Career and Technical Education (CTE) careers.

About the Program

We are incredibly excited for a fun-filled week of Welding, CNC Machining, and Mechatronics! Participants will work with subject matter experts to build their own remote-control car, and go on industry tours.

There is a $25 fee associated with participating in SMART camp, which will be collected after you have been offered a space in the program. Please indicate if you need assistance with paying the fee as a part of your application.

There are four weeks for SMART Camp 2026: June 22-26, July 13-17, July 20-24, and July 27-31. New in 2026: there will be two sessions each week to choose from: Mornings (8 AM to 12 PM) or Afternoons (1-5 PM). Snacks are provided. 

How to Get Started

To get started, complete the online application linked below. The Priority Application Deadline is January 30, 2026.

If you apply by the priority application deadline, you will hear from us by February 16, 2026 regarding your application status. Please note: Applying to this program does not guarantee your participation in SMART Camp. If the number of applications exceeds the number of seats available, you may be placed on a waitlist.
