ACCUPLACER

Assesses readiness for college English and math courses. The score report provides access to free, targeted resources to help improve skills before a re-test is taken.

About ACCUPLACER

  • Used for English and math placement
  • Format: online, multiple choice, untimed
  • Average test time: 40 minutes per subject
  • Tests included: Writing (English) and Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics (QAS) or Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF) math test

ALEKS

Assesses readiness for college math and provides free access to customized, self-paced learning modules to help fill knowledge gaps before a re-test is taken.

  • Used only for math placement
  • Format: online, three hours allowed
  • Average test time: 90 minutes
  • Initial test and up to four retests may be used for placement
  • Remote testing option available

  • Placement Testing: Schedule a placement testing appointment online. Walk-ins available Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Classroom, Make-Up, & Accommodated Testing (hours subject to change during class breaks):
    Monday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m.*
    Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. - 8 p.m.*
    Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.*
    *Note: All tests and materials are collected 15 minutes before closing.
  • By appointment, all other testing will follow the hours above. Note: Testing Center office hours may change due to holidays and inclement weather. Please contact the Testing Center for updated hours of operation.
