About the Program

Interested in starting or advancing your career in warehousing or light manufacturing? This two-day course provides essential training in material handling and powered industrial truck (forklift) operation, preparing you for work in distribution and warehouse environments.

You will learn: OSHA 29CFR 1910.178(1) regulations, proper lift truck operation, pre-operation inspections, safe load handling, fueling procedures for LP gas, and charging of electric batteries. Training covers sit-down, reach, and pallet trucks (Industrial Truck Association Classes 1, 2, 3, and 5). In addition, students receive instruction in aerial scissors (MEWP type 3A) safety and operation, as well as pedestrian safety awareness in forklift environments.

Potential Careers & Wages

Students will complete hands-on practice and must demonstrate safe operation skills. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certificates in forklift operation, aerial 3A safety and operation, and pedestrian awareness.
