When he first learned he would be directing Rock Valley College Starlight Theatre's production of Dreamgirls, Mychall Cornejo felt a mix of shock, excitement, and fear. You see, Mychall is the first person of color to direct at Starlight Theatre. He is hopeful he will not be the last.

Prospective Community College Trustee Candidates April 4 2023 Community College Board Election

The Consolidated Election for members of the Board of Trustees of Community College District No. 511 (Rock Valley College) is required to be held April 4, 2023. At this election, two board members shall be elected for a term of six years each. Said election shall be conducted by the County Clerks of the Counties within this District and the Board of Election Commissioners of the City of Rockford in the manner provided in the “Illinois Election Code” for conducting such elections.
