To do so quietly and passionately to make our entire region stronger is what makes one the 2023 Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year. Rock Valley College Trustee Robert “Bob” Trojan was honored this week by the Rockford Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
The Board of Trustees of Community College District 511 (Rock Valley College) appointed Richard Kennedy to fill the seat vacated by Jarid Funderburg after his resignation on January 1, 2023.
At a special meeting on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, the Rock Valley College Board of Trustees voted to accept applications to fill a vacancy on the Board. The vacated seat is due to resignation of Board Chair Jarid Funderburg.
Recently, the Rockford Mayor challenged the Winnebago County taxing bodies to keep our property tax levy flat or reduce it. Rock Valley College (RVC) has maintained a flat levy over the last five years and found additional ways to reduce taxes in the future; therefore, we do not accept the challenge.
