RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!

Rock Valley College Student Life will be hosting a leadership event for all students called Rock It: Leadership Kick-off Weekend, featuring guest speaker Stan Pearson, II. The event will take place on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the RVC Student Center Atrium (RVC main campus).
All students from RVC and the community are invited to attend. Student leaders from other community colleges in Illinois will also be in attendance. The purpose of the event is to teach students how to become better leaders on campus and in their communities.

Stan Pearson is a Salsa dancing, Spanish speaking Presenter who uses comedy, interactive activities and real life easy to apply expertise to connect to his audience. He has spoken in over 40 States in the U.S. in addition to Mexico, The British Virgin Islands & Canada. His presentations connect, entertain and educate everyone regardless of race, cultural or socio-economic backgrounds. He is great for any program and is very easy to work with in all facets of planning and executing a successful event. Student Life, Multi-cultural Office, Orientations, Greek Life Conference Planners and Businesses all seek Stan's programs because he is most certainly your One-Stop Speaker Shop! If you are looking for a speaker/host who is engaging, interactive, charismatic & funny; Stan is your man.
