RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.
The Estelle M. Black Library at Rock Valley College features nearly 75,000 volumes and more than 650 periodicals, and access to the interlibrary loan system. It also features spaces for individual and group study, and if you get thirsty, there's a coffee shop in the lobby!

The Rock Valley College Center for Learning in Retirement will be hosting its annual meeting on Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Bengt Sjostrom (Starlight) Theatre on the RVC main campus (3301 North Mulford Road, Rockford).
This event is FREE and open to the public and provides a great opportunity for those ages 50 and older to find out what the Center for Learning in Retirement (CLR) at Rock Valley College has to offer. There are many short-term educational and fun classes, bus trips, social events, a fitness program, volunteer opportunities, and much more!
By attending the Annual Meeting, you will be among the first to receive the Fall 2012 CLR Catalog and be able to register early for any of the 148 fall classes. Following the introduction of the 2012-2013 CLR Advisory Committee, you will hear about the exciting things planned for the fall semester and be treated to an entertaining musical program.
Professional musician and vocalist, J.T. Nolan, will perform songs from the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, including Big Band swing, country, and Elvis favorites. J.T. is a multi-instrumental musical entertainer and will feature the saxophone, trumpet, flute, keyboard, and harmonica. Door prize drawings and complimentary refreshments will follow the program. No pre-registration is required.
Close parking will be available in RVC Lot #1 off the Mulford Road entrance to the college.
