RVC competes in NJCAA Division III in men's and women's basketball, women's volleyball, golf, baseball, softball, and men's and women's tennis. Not to brag, but we're pretty good at it. Our teams have won seven national championships and we have had more than 100 All-Americans.

RVC Volleyball wins national championship

The Rock Valley College Golden Eagles volleyball team has won the NJCAA Division III national championship after defeating Brookhaven, 25-22, 25-10, 25-27, 25-18 in Rochester, Minnesota.

In Friday morning's quarterfinals, RVC defeated Davidson, 25-15, 25-19, 25-18. The Golden Eagles followed that up with an afternoon semifinal win over Northland, 25-12, 27-25, 25-19, to advance to the championship match for the first time since 2004 when they finished runner-up.

The national title is the third in RVC history for volleyball. They won back-to-back titles in 1996 and 1997. This is also the third NJCAA national championship overall for RVC athletics in the last 13 months and the ninth in its history. The RVC women's tennis team brought home a championship last October, the second in that program's history, while the women's basketball team won its first ever national championship in March.
