If you place into beginning algebra or lower you will be required to satisfy the geometry prerequisite before you will be able to enroll in a college-level math course. There are three ways to satisfy this requirement:
1. If you completed a geometry course in high school with grades of C or higher in both semesters, submit a MTH 097 Waiver Form and your high school transcript to the RVC Records Office.
2. Take the RVC Geometry Competency Test--see the Testing Center for more information
3. Take MTH 097 (Elementary Plane Geometry)
If a student receives two non-passing grades (Ds or Fs) in a developmental course, that student is not allowed to re-enroll in another math class at Rock Valley College without permission of the Associate Dean.
